I've never really listened to Ravi Zacharias but since Dusty mentioned him last night I took a listen in on Youtube. Homosexuality within the Christian realm is something that has always been debated and has been something that seems to give Christians a bad rap in the eyes of the world (through media mostly). I believe that Ravi delivered quite the point on this that really encouraged me.(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkCkXU0e75k)
Question: How do we take on delicate Christian/Moral issues in this world while still maintaining the integrity and love of God. Let's hear your opinion.
Also next week. REMEMBER we will be having strictly Equip Groups (small groups). Guys will meet in new sanctuary and girls will meet in the normal pinflow building.
IN CHRIST!

I believe you gotta go to the Bible for examples. John preached "Repentance" as his only sermon telling his listeners that "The ax is laid at the base of the tree ready to cut it down". Jesus called this a generation of vipers and said, "The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will garner more of God's mercy than you". And no, it's not for us to enjoy condemning people lest we be condemned. But I got news for you, the deficiency in our preaching is chastity. We, with the Holy Spirit, have to get as urgent and harsh with not allowing people to go to hell like we would if they were trying to fight us for a knife to kill themselves with. You would kick them in the stomach if it kept them from accomplishing that. The Great Awakening in early America started by a monotone preacher preaching a sermon "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God". And wow! His metaphor of mankind hanging over hell like a spider dangling on a web over the flames. And I dare you to tell Jonathan Edwards that he wasn't preaching in love.
Dude. Loved the last line of your comment :)
Wow, that is such a hard topic to deal with, but so crucial. I have really had a burden for that lifestyle lately. God help us all to be MOVED with compassion.
